In our lifetime, we have one chance to give and create opportunities not just for ourselves, but for others as well. On September 7, I ran 58 miles straight in support of Friendship Circle, raising funds for children with special needs who are eager and able to learn essential life skills.
This was more than just a run—it was a personal mission to push my mind and body to the limit in honor of an organization dedicated to helping others integrate into society with dignity and purpose. It’s a mission that I proudly stand behind, knowing that every step makes a difference.
The race, the South Orange Fall Apple 50-mile ultramarathon, was intense. I ran an additional 8 miles to reach a total of 58, a number that holds deep meaning for me. In my family, the number 5, symbolized by the 'Hamsa' hand, represents power, strength, and protection. Honoring this tradition while taking on such a demanding challenge was deeply personal.
But the journey doesn’t stop there! I’ll also be running the New York Marathon simultaneously with the FCrun, continuing my quest to support Friendship Circle.
Together, let’s build purpose into every mile. I believe when we face what scares us, we grow. I’m ready to show what’s possible—ready to conquer this goal for a cause close to my heart.
